WoW Forever keeps the Classic Era profession system intact — the same eleven professions, the same 1-300 skill curve — and adds new recipes across all six crafting professions plus a brand-new Camping system that turns your Basic Campfire spell into a source of temporary buffs and portable crafting stations. As of beta build 1.60.1.69893, six new profession-specific recipe items tied to Camping are already confirmed in the local database.

Profession overview

Gathering professions (Mining, Herbalism, Skinning), crafting professions (Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Leatherworking, Tailoring) and secondary professions (Cooking, First Aid, Fishing) all carry over unchanged from Classic Era. The new addition is Camping: Warcraft Tavern reports that Blizzard repurposed the existing Basic Campfire spell, familiar to every Classic Era player as a minor rest buff, into a social hub that provides "vendors, repairs, profession workspaces, and one-hour buffs." Up to three crafted camping objects can be placed at a single campfire, each contributed by a different player on a one-hour cooldown, and resting briefly at the fire grants its buff for one hour without stacking with an equivalent class ability.

Best profession pairs per class

Blizzard has not published Forever-specific profession recommendations, so the pairings below reflect profession logic carried over from Classic Era rather than anything confirmed as changed for Forever. Mining and Blacksmithing, or Mining and Engineering, remain the standard self-sufficient combination for melee classes that want their own ore supply. Herbalism and Alchemy is the classic gathering-into-crafting pair for potion and elixir users, while Skinning and Leatherworking serves the same role for leather and mail wearers. Tailoring is traditionally paired with Enchanting, since cloth-wearer classes can disenchant their own crafted greens for enchanting materials — none of this is Forever-specific advice, but it has not been contradicted by anything Blizzard or Warcraft Tavern has published about the new recipes either.

New recipes in Forever

The new recipes are sold at a market called Three Corners in the Redridge Mountains, tied to the Azeroth Commerce Authority — a faction Warcraft Tavern describes as "a repurposed faction from Season of Discovery with some changes." Alchemy gets the largest confirmed addition: 29 new recipes plus a certification item requiring 300 skill that unlocks a profession title, covering thrown area-of-effect potions, damage-over-time potions, and a range of stat, healing and regeneration elixirs, all built from herbs and vials already in the game. Cooking adds 6 new smoothie recipes that grant Spirit, again using existing materials. Enchanting adds roughly 40 new items combining enchants and craftable goods. Blacksmithing, Tailoring and Engineering each get new plans, patterns and schematics respectively — Engineering's use some new base materials alongside vanilla ones, including items named Azerothium Bar and Legionite Bar.

Camping ties directly into these new recipes: Blacksmithing crafts the Sharpening Wheel Sharpening Wheel for an Attack Power buff, First Aid crafts the First Aid Kit First Aid Kit for Stamina, Herbalism crafts the Incense Candle Incense Candle for Intellect, and Tailoring crafts the Faction Banner Faction Banner for Spirit. Alchemy and Leatherworking instead unlock crafting stations rather than buff items: the Alchemy Laboratory Alchemy Laboratory for flask crafting and the Tanning Rack Tanning Rack for advanced leatherworking recipes. Warcraft Tavern reports these initial camping objects are learned at skill level 20, with more advanced blueprints dropping from dungeon bosses later on — consistent with the loot overhaul Blizzard has described across the nine new dungeons.

Datamined title strings confirm six profession titles are planned: "the Alchemist," "the Blacksmith," "the Enchanter," "the Engineer," "the Leatherworker" and "the Tailor," plus a separate "Master Angler" title tied to Fishing. Warcraft Tavern's report is explicit that gathering professions and the other secondary professions do not get an equivalent title, and the exact requirements for earning any of these titles have not been published.

Gold making while leveling

While leveling, the most reliable Classic Era gold sources carry over unchanged: selling gray-quality vendor trash, completing quests that reward gold instead of usable items, and selling gathered materials on the auction house rather than using them yourself if your server's prices are high. The new Camping recipes add a leveling-relevant wrinkle: because the buff items (Sharpening Wheel, First Aid Kit, Incense Candle, Faction Banner) are learnable at skill level 20, low-level Blacksmiths, First Aid users, Herbalists and Tailors can craft and sell them to other leveling characters almost immediately, which is a genuinely new gold-making angle rather than a carried-over one.

Gold making at level 60

At the level cap, gold making follows the same Classic Era fundamentals — farming valuable Alchemy and Enchanting materials, running dungeons for disenchanting fodder, and crafting profession-capped gear for the auction house — layered with the new recipes above. The 29 new Alchemy potions and elixirs, the roughly 40 new Enchanting items, and the new Blacksmithing, Tailoring and Engineering plans all represent fresh, currently under-supplied recipes that a level-60 character with maxed professions can sell into a market that has not yet been flooded, since Forever's economy is brand new as of this beta. Exact recipe drop rates, vendor prices, and which specific recipes turn out to be the most profitable are not yet confirmed and will depend on how the live economy develops after launch. Advanced Camping blueprints dropping from dungeon bosses are also worth watching once the nine new dungeons open up their full loot tables, since a currently-rare crafting recipe tends to hold its value on the auction house for weeks after a fresh launch, and Forever's economy has no established price history to fall back on yet.
