How our images are made

GameNavigator paints its own world. Nothing you see here is game artwork: every panorama, every chart and the moving hero are generated for this site, in a single medium we call the night-chart painting.

One medium

1. 01 Night-chart painting: atmospheric landscapes in green-black and moon silver, with brass cartography lines (rhumb lines, contour lines, compass roses) inked directly onto sky and land.
2. 02 The images are generated with Google Gemini (gemini-3-pro-image for signature and hero art, gemini-3.1-flash-image for the volume of zone and dungeon pictures). The hero loop video is generated with Google Veo from the hero painting.
3. 03 Every request carries a fixed set of reference images, so thousands of pictures stay coherent. They deliberately contain no Blizzard characters, logos or artwork: the paintings are ours, the games are theirs.

How we label it

1. 01 Visible: every generated picture and the video carry the caption "AI-generated (Google Gemini)" or "AI-generated (Google Veo)" right next to the media.
2. 02 Machine-readable: every image file and the MP4 carry the IPTC/XMP marker DigitalSourceType = trainedAlgorithmicMedia plus credit and tool; the WebM version, whose container has no XMP, carries the same statement as title and comment tags. We never remove Google's SynthID watermark.
3. 03 Structured: pages describe their pictures as schema.org ImageObject with creditText and a reference to this page.

What is not AI-generated

1. 01 Game icons for items, spells and talents come from the game client as originals.
2. 02 In-game screenshots and official key art, where we use them, are shown with their source and credit line.
3. 03 The guides and news are written by people. Where an AI model drafts a text (for example a build changelog summary), the article says so and goes through editorial review before publication.
