Stormwind, early evening, and I'm sitting at the auction house mailbox with my bags completely stuffed because I picked two gathering professions on my first character and never thought past the moment of actually having bags full of raw materials with nothing to do with them. It felt sensible at the time, wander around, pick things up, watch the little numbers tick, except now I'm staring at a pile of stuff and realizing I have no crafting profession to turn any of it into something useful, so I just mail it all to an alt and hope that counts as a plan.
The guides I've read mention that the crafting side got new recipes across all six professions this time around, plus that new Camping system turning the Basic Campfire into something that actually makes things and gives buffs, which sounds lovely in theory but I haven't touched it yet because I'm still busy picking flowers.
So here's what I'm curious about, from people who've actually had a few weeks to live with their choice rather than just picking blind on day one like I did: if you could go back to character creation knowing what you know now, would you choose the same pair of professions again, or has something about how they play out in practice made you wish you'd gone a different way?
