Beta Maintenance and Bans
Blizzard confirmed that server restarts to fix ongoing issues in the WoW: Forever Beta were imminent, with maintenance expected to be short. Separately, Senior Game Producer Tom Ellis commented on recent bans and forced name changes tied to the Beta, noting that 0.18% of names resulted in a ban.
Quality-of-Life Additions
Several quality-of-life improvements have arrived in the Beta. The Inspect feature now has increased range and shows talents by default. Professions have also received unspecified quality-of-life changes. Additionally, the Cooldown Manager, previously available in Retail, is now available for testing in WoW: Forever.
Social and Community Features
A new Recent Allies feature has been added to WoW: Forever, intended to help players remember familiar faces, contributing to a sense of community.
Community Engagement
Blizzard is asking players for topic suggestions for future developer insight segments on the WoW: Forever podcast. A new survey has also appeared on the launcher, asking players for their opinions on select topics related to WoW: Forever.
Real-World and Streaming Events
Blizzard announced a WoW: Forever-themed escape room in Toronto, themed around escaping the Scarlet Monastery. Meanwhile, a livestream titled "I'm Home" covering the WoW Forever Beta was also published.
Guides and Maps
Two reference guides for WoW: Forever have been published: a zone map detailing level ranges for every zone from 1 to 60, and a dungeon and raid map showing all locations and their associated levels.
