Shen'dralas is one of the four new zones in World of Warcraft: Forever, a contested Central Kalimdor zone sitting south-east of Desolace, between Feralas and Mulgore, on the ground once occupied by Lake Dumont. It is home to three factions — Highborne, Centaur, and Quilboar — and, as of beta build 1.60.1.69893, much of its questing and leadership detail is still unpublished.
Of the four new zones, Shen'dralas is the least documented one covered on this site. Warcraft Wiki's own article for it carries less confirmed detail than its entries for Mount Hyjal, Riverglades, or Zephras Isle, and this guide has not found a Blizzard source that names the zone directly beyond its inclusion in the four-zone list. Read this page as an overview of what is genuinely known rather than a full walkthrough.
Overview and level range
Warcraft Wiki does not list a confirmed level range for Shen'dralas, describing it only as "Unknown level range." The neighboring Desolace zone, which Shen'dralas borders directly, is level 30-40, which is a reasonable proximity signal for where Shen'dralas is likely to sit, but Blizzard has not confirmed a level range for this zone directly. Beta build 1.60.1.69893 does not yet expose a populated level-range field for it in the database either, so treat any specific level range as not yet announced until Blizzard or a later build confirms it.
For comparison, the other two open-world zones covered on this site do have confirmed ranges: Mount Hyjal at 30-35 and Riverglades at 35-45. This guide will not guess a specific number for Shen'dralas — inventing a level range that Blizzard has not confirmed would be misleading rather than helpful — but the surrounding zones make it reasonable to expect Shen'dralas to slot in somewhere near that same 30-45 band rather than being a very low-level or very high-level zone. Treat that as context, not a number to plan around.
How to get there
Warcraft Wiki states you can reach Shen'dralas on foot through the Valley of Bones from Desolace. No flight path, portal, or boat connection has been announced for this zone, so overland travel through Desolace is the only confirmed route as of this guide's beta build.
Quest hubs and storylines
Warcraft Wiki lists five named settlements inside the zone: Bristleback Retreat, Evenshade Overlook, Outcast Hideaway, Magram Front, and Valley of Bones. These read as likely quest-hub locations given their names, but Warcraft Wiki does not yet describe specific questlines, and neither does Blizzard's panel recap. Storyline details, quest names, and quest givers for Shen'dralas are not yet in the beta data — quest_translations in build 1.60.1.69893 do not contain any entries referencing the zone by name yet.
The settlement names themselves suggest a three-way contest rather than a simple Alliance-versus-Horde storyline: "Bristleback Retreat" and "Magram Front" read as Quilboar and Centaur strongholds respectively, "Outcast Hideaway" suggests a displaced or fugitive group (plausibly the Highborne, given their history of exile), and "Evenshade Overlook" does not obviously belong to any of the three named factions. That reading is this guide's own inference from the settlement names Warcraft Wiki provides, not a confirmed storyline breakdown.
Notable NPCs and rare mobs
Both the current and former ruler of Shen'dralas are listed as "Unknown" on Warcraft Wiki, so leadership has not been revealed. What is confirmed is the zone's population: Highborne, Centaur, and Quilboar. Items already present in beta build 1.60.1.69893 back up two of those three factions directly — Highborne Memory Crystal (Highborne Memory Crystal), Highborne Research Tablet (Highborne Research Tablet), and Highborne Treasure Fragment (Highborne Treasure Fragment) for the Highborne, and Blade of the Magram Clan (Blade of the Magram Clan) and Scavenged Magram Armament (Scavenged Magram Armament) for the Magram, a Centaur clan associated with the Desolace/Shen'dralas region. A Quilboar-tagged item, Quilboar Toothpick (Quilboar Toothpick), is also present. None of these items are confirmed by name or zone tag as drops specifically placed inside Shen'dralas — they establish that the factions exist in the current build's data, not their exact in-zone locations.
Dungeons and raids in the zone
Neither Blizzard's panel recap nor Warcraft Wiki mentions a dungeon or raid located inside Shen'dralas, and none of the nine new dungeons Blizzard announced (Hall of Thanes, Ruins of Lordaeron, an excavation site near Whelgar's Excavation, City of Dalaran, Blackmaw Hold, Drowned City, Krol'dok Stronghold, Alcaz Prison, and Shaper's Terrace) is described as being set in this zone. Whether Shen'dralas connects to any instanced content is not yet announced.
Three of those nine dungeons — City of Dalaran, Ruins of Lordaeron, and Hall of Thanes — are already directly verifiable by name in beta build 1.60.1.69893's dungeons table. None of the remaining six, including Krol'dok Stronghold, which Warcraft Wiki ties to the neighboring Riverglades zone, exist under those exact names in the same table yet, which is a general sign that this content wave's dungeons are still being added to the build incrementally rather than all at once.
Resources and professions
Blizzard has not published a profession or gathering resource list for Shen'dralas, and the item names confirmed in beta build 1.60.1.69893 for this zone's factions (Highborne relics and research items, Magram weapon parts, a Quilboar trophy) read as quest or reputation items rather than gathering-profession drops. If you are planning ahead for professions here, treat resource-node placement — ore, herbs, or skinning targets — as not yet in the beta data until it becomes directly verifiable in the client.
Given the zone's contested three-faction setup, it would not be surprising if reputation grinds with the Highborne, the Magram Centaur, or a Quilboar tribe end up gating recipes or vendors the way similar Classic Era factions do elsewhere in the game — but that is a pattern drawn from established Classic Era design, not a confirmed feature of Shen'dralas specifically, and it should be read as background context rather than a promise about this zone.
