Riverglades is a new level 35-45 zone in World of Warcraft: Forever, located in southeastern Khaz Modan east of the Badlands and Burning Steppes. Blizzard's panel recap credits it with more than 150 quests, and Warcraft Wiki describes it as contested territory shared by Alliance, Horde, and the neutral Steamwheedle Cartel. This is the largest of the four new zones by quest count.
Overview and level range
Warcraft Wiki lists Riverglades at level 35-45, and Blizzard's panel recap independently confirms the same range ("levels mid-30s to mid-40s") along with the 150-plus quest count. That makes Riverglades the only one of the four new zones with a level range confirmed by two independent sources rather than one.
At more than 150 quests, Riverglades is also the largest of the four new zones by a wide margin — Blizzard's panel recap does not give a specific quest count for Mount Hyjal, Shen'dralas, or Zephras Isle, but none of them are described with a number anywhere close to 150. If you are planning your leveling path through the new zones, Riverglades reads as the one built to be a primary leveling stop rather than a smaller side zone.
How to get there
Warcraft Wiki describes flight paths from faction capitals as the standard route into Riverglades, plus a boat connection from the zone's neutral port, Powderfuse Port, to Steamwheedle Port in Tanaris. Beta build 1.60.1.69893 already contains a consumable item tied to that port, Bottle of Powderfuse Port (Bottle of Powderfuse Port), and a related item, Cask of Powderfuse Port (Cask of Powderfuse Port), which is consistent with Powderfuse Port being implemented as an actual hub rather than just a name on a map.
The Steamwheedle Port boat connection is notable because it ties Riverglades directly into the existing Classic Era travel network through Tanaris rather than requiring an entirely new travel system. Blizzard has not published exact flight master locations or specific new flight paths for Farholde Keep or Rog'mar, so if you are planning a leveling route through the zone, treat the existing boat and general "faction capitals" flight path description as the only confirmed access points until more specific routing is announced.
Quest hubs and storylines
Warcraft Wiki lists three major settlements — Farholde Keep (Alliance), Rog'mar (Horde), and the neutral hubs Bolder'ok and Powderfuse Port — plus two minor settlements, Sunnyglade and Wheeler's Grange. Items already in the beta build back up Farholde Keep specifically: Farholde Keep Tabard (Farholde Keep Tabard), Farholde Bastion (Farholde Bastion), Farholde Scouting Report (Farholde Scouting Report), Shipment to Farholde Keep (Shipment to Farholde Keep), and Solomon's Plea to Farholde (Solomon's Plea to Farholde) all reference it by name, which strongly suggests an active Alliance questline built around defending or supplying the keep. A similar item-level confirmation for Rog'mar was not found in this build, so treat the Horde-side questline content as not yet in the beta data even though the hub itself is announced. Wheeler's Grange is also backed by an item, Wheeler's Steed Feed (Wheeler's Steed Feed), suggesting a stable or mount-related quest hub there.
Notable NPCs and rare mobs
Neither Blizzard's panel recap nor Warcraft Wiki names specific NPCs or rare spawns for Riverglades. Warcraft Wiki does describe the zone's general wildlife as boars, crocolisks, murlocs, and gnolls, consistent with a swampland biome, but a named rare-mob list is not yet announced.
Given the confirmed presence of Farholde Keep quest items referencing "shipments" and a "scouting report" (Farholde Scouting Report and Shipment to Farholde Keep), it is reasonable to expect NPC quest givers tied to supply lines and reconnaissance at that hub, but no specific name has surfaced in the beta data this guide can query, so treat any specific NPC name you see elsewhere as unconfirmed until it appears directly in game data or an official source.
Dungeons and raids in the zone
Warcraft Wiki ties Riverglades directly to the Krol'dok Stronghold dungeon, described as a level 40-45, 5-player instance. As of beta build 1.60.1.69893, no dungeon named Krol'dok Stronghold exists yet in the dungeons table, so while the dungeon is announced and its level range is known from the wiki, it is not yet in the beta data for an entity-linked confirmation. No raid has been announced for this zone.
Krol'dok Stronghold's 40-45 level range sits at the upper end of Riverglades' own 35-45 range, which fits the usual Classic Era pattern of a zone's dungeon opening up partway through its questing and remaining relevant through the top of the zone's level band. Three of the nine dungeons Blizzard announced for this content wave — City of Dalaran, Ruins of Lordaeron, and Hall of Thanes — are directly verifiable in beta build 1.60.1.69893 by exact name, which shows dungeon data is being added incrementally; Krol'dok Stronghold simply has not landed in this particular build yet.
Resources and professions
Warcraft Wiki notes Riverglades is playable territory for Humans, Orcs, Ogres, and Goblins, and its swampland wildlife (boars, crocolisks, murlocs, gnolls) points toward skinning and possibly fishing as relevant professions, given the zone's river and coastal geography. Confirmed crafting-adjacent items in beta build 1.60.1.69893 include Corrupted Riverglades Pendant (Corrupted Riverglades Pendant) and Riverglades Marsh Gas (Riverglades Marsh Gas), the latter reading as a gathered or quest reagent tied to the zone's swamp terrain. Blizzard has not published a formal resource-node map (ore, herb, or fishing pool locations) for Riverglades, so treat specific gathering routes as not yet in the beta data.
The playable-race list Warcraft Wiki gives for the zone — Human, Orc, Ogre, Goblin — is worth noting because it mixes both Alliance and Horde races with two races (Ogre, Goblin) that are neutral or Horde-adjacent depending on the era of Classic lore you are comparing against. That mix lines up with the zone's contested status and the neutral Steamwheedle Cartel presence, but Blizzard has not published whether Ogres or Goblins appear here as playable characters, NPCs, or purely as environmental creatures, so do not read "playable territory" as confirmation of a new playable race beyond the Skyborne and the six new combinations covered elsewhere on this site.
